Belgian White (WitBier)

Brewed in the village of Hoegaarden (pronounced who-gar-den), Belgium since 1318, Hoegaarden is a refreshing blend of wheat and malted barley, lightly spiced with coriander and real Curaçao orange peel. Belgium's white beer tradition dates back to 1445 when the villagers of Hoegaarden brewed their own beer with locally grown ingredients, including wheat -- the primary ingredient in Belgian white beers. Hoegaarden was a Gold Medal Winner at the World Beer Cup 2006.
